The Military has renovated the well-known Shiva temple at Gulmarg, a ski-resort in Jammu and Kashmir, and reopened it to the general public. Inbuilt 1915, this temple can be well-known for the hit music ‘Jai Jai Shiv Shankar’ from Rajesh Khanna and Mumtaz’s hit music ‘Aap Ki Kasam’.
“The Army battalion in Gulmarg repaired the structure of Shiv Mandir, Gulmarg with the help of local people. The landscape and paths leading to the temple were also revamped and rebuilt,” mentioned a military officer. The temple was in-built 1915 by Maharani Mohini Bai Sisodia, spouse of Hari Singh, the then Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir.
